Dr. Jennifer Lavin

Owner, Physical Therapist & Instructor

Jennifer obtained her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Bradly University and Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. She currently holds a Manual Therapy Certification for Spine, Pelvis and Extremities (MTC), as well as certifications in Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy with Dry Needling (CMTPT), Postpartum Corrective Exercise (PCES), Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga (RYT & RPYT), and Pilates for Rehabilitation (PMA-CPT).

Trained as a John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) Practitioner, Obstetric and Pelvic Health Specialist, and Vestibular Specialist, Jennifer continues her passion for learning by currently working toward APTA's Section on Women's Health Certificate of Achievement in Pregnancy/Postpartum Physical Therapy-OB and Pelvic Health.

Jennifer truly believes in the power of one-on-one engagement and personalized treatment, which is why she uses a variety of techniques for prevention, healing and maintenance.  She recognizes each patients individual goals and provides care to help them live their best life!

When she is not at Mindful Matters Wellness you can find her battling it out on the dance floor, cycling on the trails in the amazing city of Milwaukee or hanging out with her fur baby, Luna.



Dr. Lauryn Beecher

Physical Therapist & Instructor

Lauryn is a Milwaukee native who received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sport Science and Spanish Language from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s University - Los Angeles in 2018. While in graduate school, she discovered her passion for holistic practices while completing her 200-hour Yoga Certification, and treating the whole person including those with pelvic health concerns. Lauryn has experience treating people of all genders with pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, and pregnancy/postpartum related conditions.

Currently working towards certifications in Dry Needling with Myopain Seminars and Visceral Manipulation with Barrel Institute, Lauryn is the constant learner.

Her treatment approach involves individualized, one-on-one patient care with her priority to help each patient feel inspired to take back control of their health and get them back to doing what they love!

In her spare time Lauryn enjoys yoga, weight lifting, and hiking with her dog.
